Port Authority Campaign Focuses on Latino Community

The Port Authority is launching, for the first time, a campaign aimed at the growing Latino community in Allegheny County.

The campaign focuses on raising awareness about Authority services that accommodate customers who do not speak or read English.

Port Authority to close a section of the Red Line for six months beginning Sunday

Port Authority will close a section of the Red Line starting Sunday, March 27, to replace the aging and deteriorating light rail tracks between Fallowfield and Potomac stations. Work will be done in two phases over a six-month period. Rail operations will be suspended in this area starting Sunday, March 27, but construction activity will not start until Monday, March 28.

Port Authority modifies Beechview rail project in response to community concerns

Port Authority has changed its rail replacement project in Beechview to accommodate more residential parking on Broadway Avenue during construction and limit impact to local businesses. Work still would be completed in one construction season.
