BRT is a rapid transit system that uses buses to move thousands of people in dedicated bus lanes on Port Authority's busiest corridor. Separated from general traffic, BRT buses will run faster and more reliably without adding to congestion.
We will be holding a series of virtual public meetings in January 2021 to discuss the latest BRT design, timeline and budget updates.
Learn more about the Downtown-Uptown-Oakland-East End Bus Rapid Transit from documents related to the project.
